PRO54 YShield high and low frequency anti-wave paint

YShield PRO54 high- and low-frequency protective paint provides protection from high-frequency radiation (from DECT cordless home telephones, WiFi and Wimax wireless networks, mobile phone aerials, 5G, radar, etc.), but also reduces low-frequency electric fields (mainly from domestic electricity) and electrostatic fields.

Professional graphite-free armour paint with maximum hardness and adhesion. Minimal staining. Slightly sweet odour, use only in unoccupied rooms for 7 days.

  • Breathable, solvent- and plasticiser-free - low VOC emissions
  • Excellent adhesion to all indoor and outdoor surfaces (very high resistance to humidity)
  • Exceptional physical and chemical properties combined with a high level of ecology
  • Can be applied like "classic" paint, repainted and wallpapered

The absence of graphite offers a number of advantages:

  • Leaves no white marks when sweeping
  • Does not leave black marks on light surfaces either (so easier to repaint)
  • Its rough microporous surface provides a non-slip surface for excellent adhesion of the finishing paint.
  • Its adhesive bond strength (4.8 N/mm² - adhesion to substrate) is as high as in paints containing graphite.

The only drawback is that the electrical resistance and therefore the shielding effectiveness per coat is around 10 % lower than with other paints. We always recommend applying 2 coats of paint to achieve 35 to 40 dB of attenuation.

Ready for 5G

Thanks to constant development, YShield paints have almost linear attenuation over a very wide range of frequencies. This includes the two 5G frequency spectrums FR1 (600 MHz - 6 GHz) and FR2 (24 GHz - 40 GHz).

Technical specifications

Composition: water, pure acrylic dispersion, carbon fibres, carbon black, additives, preservatives (MIT, INN, BIT). Attenuation: one layer 32 dB | 2 layers 40 dB | 3 layers 48 dB. Specified values apply at 1 GHz. Measurement from 40/600 MHz to 40 GHz according to ASTM D4935-10 or IEEE Std 299-2006 standards.

Quantity required :

(depending on undercoat): single coat 5 to 7.5 m² / litre, 2 coats 2.5 to 3.75 m² / litre Behaviour in fire: this product is fire-retardant in accordance with DIN 4102-1 or DIN EN 13501-1. Can be coated preferably with plastic-based emulsion paints (latex), silicate dispersion paints, facade paints or silicone resin paints.

As this paint is conductive, earthing is necessary! We recommend using EBX YShield earthing tape + GW YShield earthing plate + GC YShield earthing cable of the required length + GP YShield earthing plug indoors, and AF3 additive and GE earthing plate outdoors.
Optional: To fill cracks for better earthing, we recommend AF3 fibre additive with long conductive carbon fibres. These carbon fibres can also be used to replace EBX tapes for paint earthing.

Frost resistance: this product is frost resistant (5 freeze/thaw cycles tested) | Can be shipped all year round.
With no chemical or metallic particles, this paint is long-lasting, bio-compatible and hypoallergenic - and complies with Habitat Biology standards.
Colour of paint: black Storage stability: in a cool place, see expiry date on can.
Never dilute!
Drying time: between 12 and 24 h Washable with water VOCs: 0.2 / litre (threshold set by the European Union in 2010: 30 g/litre)
Can be applied by brush, roller or spray with a nozzle larger than 6 mm.
Packaging: 1 litre and 5 litre cans
No nanotechnology: shielding paints are developed in accordance with strict ecological criteria.

Made in Germany by YShield TÜV-SÜD certification: All YShield shielding paints are TÜV-SÜD tested.
The entire manufacturing process, including quality assurance, product emissions and the economical use of preservatives, is monitored.

Application

Apply indoors only, using a brush, roller or nozzle.
You'll find all our advice in the practical sheet entitled "Applying anti-wave paint", which you can download from our website.

We accept no liability for damage to persons, animals or objects caused by incorrect application of the paint, in particular earthing and electrical installation that does not comply with DIN 57100 / VDE 0100 standards. We recommend that the electrical installation and earthing of YShield® paints be checked by a specialist electrician.
