Tui-Na Massages
The art of Tui-Na massage: promoting balance between body and mind
At 369Agara, we have chosen to place the individual at the heart of our practice. Each session is designed to be a special experience, where active listening, kindness and mastery of traditional techniques come together to guide you towards greater physical, energetic and emotional balance.
Our approach is based primarily on the Tui-Na massage, one of the five main disciplines of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), alongside acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, energy-based dietetics and energy-based exercises such as Qi Gong.
Tui-Na massage: a tradition dating back thousands of years
We practise Tui-Na, an energetic therapeutic massage with roots in over two thousand years of Chinese tradition and based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
According to this ancient form of medicine, health depends on the harmonious flow of Qi, vital energy, through a network of meridians running throughout the body.
When this flow is disrupted, imbalances can arise, manifesting themselves on both a physical and an emotional level.
Through a range of techniques involving pressure, joint mobilisation, friction, kneading and meridian stimulation, we promote better energy flow, support the body’s natural functions and help restore balance.
We tailor each treatment to your individual needs, taking a holistic approach in which the body, emotions and energy flow are closely intertwined.
Seasonal massages
For us, as in the tradition of Traditional Chinese Medicine, each season has a particular influence on a specific organ and its associated meridian.
We therefore offer seasonal massages designed to support the body’s natural transitions and help it adapt.
Spring – The Liver Meridian
In spring, we focus on the Liver meridian to promote the free flow of Qi, to support the body’s detoxification processes in accordance with the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and to nurture the energy of renewal that is characteristic of this season.
Summer – The Heart and Master-Heart Meridians
During the summer, we focus on the Heart and Pericardium meridians to promote emotional balance, serenity, inner joy and a better quality of rest.
The inter-season (or Indian summer) – Méridien de la Rate
During periods of transition, we stimulate the Spleen meridian to support digestive functions in accordance with TCM, promote the absorption of energy, and help the body adapt to changes in rhythm and climate.
Autumn – The Lung Meridian
In autumn, we focus on the Lung meridian to support respiratory functions, in accordance with the principles of Chinese energy medicine, and to encourage letting go.
Winter – Kidney Meridian
In winter, we focus on the Kidney meridian, which is regarded in Traditional Chinese Medicine as the seat of the body’s deep energy reserves.
This massage harnesses this vital energy, aids recovery and promotes a stronger sense of grounding.
Energy assessment and personalised massage
Every person has their own energy field.
We carry out an assessment based on the observational methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine (questioning, observation, palpation and energy analysis) in order to identify any imbalances that may be present.
Following this assessment, we draw up a specific massage protocol.
This may follow a traditional protocol or be fully tailored to the energy imbalances observed, in accordance with the principles of TCM.
Our aim is to offer you personalised support, tailored to your personal history, your energy field and your needs.
Our specialised massages
The Five-Branch Star Massage
We offer a deep-tissue relaxation massage that focuses on the five extremities of the body:
- the head and neck; ;
- both arms down to the hands; ;
- both legs right down to the feet.
These areas are key points for the flow of energy.
This treatment provides a deep sense of relaxation, helps to release built-up tension and promotes a holistic reconnection with the body.
Massage to support women going through the menopause
The menopause is a major milestone in a woman’s life.
Beyond the hormonal changes, this period marks a profound personal and energetic transformation.
Through this massage, inspired by the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, we support this transition by helping to maintain the body’s overall balance, whilst providing a space for calm, listening and reconnecting with oneself.
We want to enable every woman to experience this new stage as a natural transformation, similar to that which accompanies the transition from childhood to womanhood when the first menstrual cycles begin.
Massage to help manage dysmenorrhoea
La dysmenorrhoea refers to painful periods that may be accompanied by cramps, pelvic pain, lower back pain or digestive discomfort, which can affect a person’s quality of life.
According to the energy theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, these pains may be linked to various imbalances in the flow of Qi, Blood or certain energy functions.
We offer a massage designed to address these imbalances, promote better energy flow and help ease menstrual discomfort as part of a holistic approach to wellbeing.
A holistic sensory approach
We enhance each of our treatments with a range of elements designed to create an environment that encourages relaxation, concentration and self-reflection.
The Music of Plants :
The music of plants produces a gentle and unique melody, captured from the plants’ natural vibrations. This vibrational harmony helps your body to relax deeply and release tension.
By triggering a natural relaxation response, it soothes feelings of stress and anxiety, creating a cocoon of serenity.
Colour light therapy
We use colour light therapy to create a lighting atmosphere suited to the treatment.
According to the traditions associated with them, each colour possesses symbolic and emotional qualities that can promote relaxation, calm, vitality or a sense of balance.
It helps to create an atmosphere conducive to physical and mental relaxation.
Sacred Geometry
We also incorporate sacred geometry, a set of geometric figures found in many philosophical and spiritual traditions.
In our approach, these forms serve as a symbolic medium that invites harmony, balance and inner contemplation.
They help to create an environment conducive to refocusing and being fully present during treatment.
Who are we?
We are Sarah and Aurélien, two passionate practitioners who bring together our backgrounds, our experiences and our commitment to promoting wellbeing.
Our practice is based on in-depth training, attentive listening and a constant commitment to providing personalised care, tailored to each individual.
Each session is conducted with care, respect and mindfulness, to provide an experience in which Tui-Na massage techniques form part of a holistic approach to the individual.
Our aim is to enable everyone to rediscover a space of calm, deep relaxation and rebalancing, where the body, the mind and one’s inner self are all given equal attention.
Our personal approach
In addition to our training and practice of Tui-Na massage, we have chosen to undertake a thorough process of energy clarification and cleansing, notably through an approach involving HRE, depending on the approach we were trained in.
This approach is part of our commitment to conducting our business with full awareness, in a state of mindfulness, discernment and inner autonomy.
In accordance with our philosophy of practice, this enables us to act in our own name, without seeking or claiming the involvement of any entities, spiritual guides or other external influences.
Thus, We affirm that we carry out our activities without being guided by a spiritual guide, nor by what Taoism refers to as Mistletoe.
Our aim is to provide a space for care that we hope will be as genuine and respectful as possible, where the quality of human connection, active listening and touch form the foundation of every treatment.
This approach reflects our personal commitment and the philosophy that guides our practice on a daily basis.
